Start from Dehradun early in the morning (around 5-6 am).
You’ll pass through scenic towns like Rishikesh, Devprayag (where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet), Srinagar, and Rudraprayag.
Guptkashi, located about 45 km from Sonprayag, is the last town with accommodation options near the trek’s starting point.
Depart from Guptkashi early (around 4-5 am) to reach Sonprayag, which is around 45 minutes away by car.
The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Temple is approximately 18 km and usually takes 6-8 hours.
If you missed the darshan the previous day, visit the temple for morning prayers, which are usually less crowded.
Begin the trek back to Gaurikund. The descent is generally faster, taking around 4-5 hours.
Depending on your preference and time, you can either spend the night in Guptkashi or continue onward.
Drive from Guptkashi to Dehradun, which will take around 8-9 hours (approximately 200 km).
Reach Dehradun by evening, concluding your Kedarnath Yatra.
